Adult Eye Exams
Caring for your eyes begins with an annual eye exam. Although many people think eye exams are only for people who need glasses, everyone needs and would benefit from a comprehensive eye exam. Not only do eye exams ensure that you are seeing clearly but they are essential in early detection of a many potentially sight- threatening eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and cataracts.
Your eyes change throughout the stages of your life. Routine eye exams are essential to make sure you are seeing as clearly as possible, allow us to detect any minor changes to your vision and catch any early signs of disease.
Adults should have their eyes examined every one to two years. Patients who wear contact lenses or have underlying health conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure should have their eyes examined annually. Other eye conditions may also warrant more frequent eye examinations. If you are not sure how often your eyes need to be examined, please contact our office for more information.
If you don’t already have a doctor of optometry, you don’t need a referral to book an exam. Call our office to book an appointment for your comprehensive eye exam today!
